Perhaps you should read things that are aimed more at a female audience. And I'm not talking explicitly about Yaoi / ヤオイ. For example, the works of Rioko / りおこ might be more for you. Unfortunately, such works are usually lost on E/Ex and are rarely translated.

Head Empty is a bit of a special case because of all the fucking drama they get in to.
